ALTERNATIVE JUSTICE SERVICES

General alternative measures program for adults (AMR-AU)

This program provides an opportunity for a person accused of committing a criminal offence to participate, if he/she so wishes, in a supervised process of reparation and reconciliation as an alternative to court proceedings. One of its aims is to promote greater participation by Indigenous communities in the administration of justice in their communities.

Programme d’accompagnement judiciaire et d’intervention communautaire (PAJIC) – Judicial Support and Community Intervention Program

PAJIC offers vulnerable people, such as those experiencing homelessness, an alternative to criminal prosecution or compensatory work. By agreeing to participate in and completing the PAJIC, community members can have their municipal court debt partially or totally erased.
