National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Honouring the residential school survivors

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is on September 30. The Val-d’Or Indigenous Friendship Centre marks this day to honour the residential school survivors and to maintain a duty to remember. This day is also an opportunity to raise awareness of the intergenerational impacts of the cultural genocide experienced by Indigenous people.
